Share & Care Preschool’s Feb. Month of Caring

Each year the preschool picks an organization to have our families and staff donate to for a service project. This year we are choosing PREGNANCY RESOURCES, a local agency that provides women and their families with free pregnancy services. Listed below are the common needs of Bella’s Boutique used to give to women in need.  Baby towels, Baby wash, Baby lotion, Baby bottles, pacifiers, diaper rash cream, newborn bibs, newborn-3m socks, newborn-3m sleepers, 0-3m sleeping gowns, pajamas 3m-3T, tops 18m, 24m, 2T, 3T, and new socks 12m-24m, 2T-3T. Please bring your donated items to the preschool by February 27.  Thank you!

Congregational Food Drive for Eastside Mission

Park View is partnering with Eastside Mission to help meet urgent needs in our community! We will be collecting food and household items to support individuals and families served by the Mission.

Most needed items include:

  • Canned goods
  • Meat
  • Vegetables (fruit is especially needed!)
  • Boxed meals
  • Paper products
  • Laundry & dish soap (small sizes)
  • Hygiene products

Eastside Mission has also recently acquired a freezer. If you prefer to give financial donations, those funds will be used to purchase meat, frozen dinners, and other freezer items. Please give financial donations to Joan in an envelope marked “Eastside Mission Donation” in the office. There’s a tote in the fellowship hall to place your donations. We will be collecting through the month of February. Thank you for helping us serve our neighbors with Christ’s love!

Attendance Cards Reminder

As we continue through this time of a pastoral vacancy, all members and guests are asked to please fill out a yellow attendance card each Sunday morning or Wednesday during Lent. These cards help us accurately track attendance, stay connected as a worshiping community, and help to better support the life of the church. Thank you for your participation and continued faithfulness.

Attention People Who Enjoy Sewing at Their Own Leisure Time!

Our quilt group is wondering if some people who do not want to be committed to a Tuesday 9 to 1 time frame, would consider sewing kits at home. The kits have 5 ½ inch squares already cut. The rows are marked and the direction to sew is marked. This will create a small lap size with a cross in the center that we give to various nursing homes. Once you have sewn and pressed the seams, return to us and we do the rest.  If you would consider helping us, let JoLynn Pawloski, Denise Weiss or any quilt member know.

Concordia University Nebraska Choir Concert

CUNE Chamber Choir will be at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Bettendorf, IA on February 20th, with the concert starting at 7:00pm.

Seniors, Mark Your Calendars

Judy Mumm is again hosting a “Fun for Seniors: Forever Young Lunch and Game Day” on Thursday, March 12, 2026 at Noon to 3:30pm. There will be pizza, salad and a guest speaker. Vicki Hamdorf, of Lowden, IA will speak on Health and Nutrition. After we have lunch and hear from our guest speaker, you are welcome to stick around for some fellowship with card/board games. Just so Judy has a way to tell how many pizzas to get, there’s a sign-up sheet on the kiosk, or you can call the church office (563-285-9035), if you plan on attending.

New Auxiliary Board Being Formed at Camp IoDisECa

Camp Io-Dis-E-Ca has been serving our district since 1963. We would like to get more congregations involved. With the camp board’s blessing, we will be putting together an Auxiliary Board. The purpose of the Auxiliary Board will be to raise awareness of the various resources that the camp can provide and also raise funds for their mission. Our first effort as a group will be organizing the Quilt Auction/Summerfest that happens the end of July. To help make this happen, we would like to have a kickoff meeting the middle of March. If you would be interested in serving, or would like more information, please contact Susan Adrian at 319-361-6498 or auxboard@iodiseca.org
